This week’s wanderlust… The Caribbean

Caribbean Baby Beach Bum

In anticipation of our family’s upcoming trip to St. Lucia, I’ve been perusing travel sites–trying to get the inside scoop on what to do once we’re there. During my research, I came across an awesome new blog called the Uncommon Caribbean, which is full of local insights and great ideas about the entire region. I especially loved this recent post about a one-year-old boy who visited a different Caribbean island each month of his young life. Pretty cool and inspiring–especially as the chilly winter approaches here in NYC.

PS. I’m still looking for off-the-beaten path suggestions on what to do in St. Lucia, so if you’ve got any, please post them in the comments section below.

And have you entered this week’s giveaway yet?

We went to beautiful St. Lucia for our honeymoon and stayed at the incredible Ti Kaye resort. One of our most memorable things we did was the Friday Night Fish Fry in Anse la Raye. The whole town comes out and you can buy amazing local foods from all the vendors. We had the best (and of course, cheapest!) meal of our trip there–a super fresh red snapper just roasted in foil with some garlic butter. It’s a lot of fun. Enjoy your trip!
