Airplanes on a shirt and other playful pieces

by parenture on October 3, 2011

As I was strolling through Atlantic Antic yesterday, the booth from MUNY (Mumbai + New York) caught my eye. I had to look twice to determine whether the stylish rack of clothes was for kids or adults, but I was smitten either way. When I realized the pieces were too small for me, I quickly scooped up an irresistible peasant top for Baby E (below), which I would totally wear if it came in my size, and fell in love with the travel-inspired boys’ airplane shirt (above). Good news for grown-ups, too: MUNY makes gorgeous scarves that will be available online next month. All of the fabrics are designed by local Brooklyn designer, Samara Mahendru, and hand-block printed in Jaipur, India–a place close to my heart ever since we traveled there on our honeymoon in 2007. This new line is bound to take off quickly, so make sure you check it out soon.
